SPACE QUALIFIED WR22 WAVEGUIDE SWITCH



SMI Model SM22-1127 WR22 Waveguide Transfer Switch was designed for a custom application in a European Military Satellite System.

Employing a unique mounting scheme specified by the customer, the switch takes full advantage of SMI's Patented, Light Weight Rotor to minimize size and weight, and is a good example of SMI's design flexibility to accommodate special requirements.

The switch was subjected to a complete qualification program that included:

* Constant Acceleration at 500 g.
* Mechanical Shock (half sine, 800 g, 2000 Hz.)
* Sine Vibration Endurance Test (4 hours, 64 g, 1000 Hz.)
* Moisture Resistance
* Radiated Emissions (60 dB uV/M)
